Our green renovations are underway

As we embark on our office renovations, we’re excited to share some of the incredible companies we’re partnering with to make this project as sustainable as possible.

To help clear out our office furniture, we’re collaborating with Stockport House Clearances, a part of Renewal North West who are a charity dedicated to building stronger communities and supporting vulnerable individuals. Their work aims to be highly sustainable with a focus on reducing landfill waste. As a credit union, we understand the importance of giving back to our communities and assisting those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

We felt strongly about finding new homes for our old office appliances, which is why we chose to partner with The Rubbish Removers. With over 20 years of experience in the waste disposal industry, they are dedicated to recycling old fridges, freezers, and washing machines, giving them a new lease of life.

For the disposal of our IT equipment, we enlisted the help of Green IT Disposal, a local Stockport-based company dedicated to minimising waste. They specialise in reusing working parts and securely wiping data before repurposing equipment. It was important to us that some of our equipment found new homes, and that the company held ISO certification to ensure proper procedures for handling and disposing of sensitive data.

We’re proud to ensure that our presence in the local community embodies our commitment to sustainability. By prioritising green renovations and making the most of opportunities to reuse and recycle, we are dedicated to building a responsible, long-lasting space. These efforts align with our non profit goals, allowing us to continue making a positive impact while respecting both the environment and the community we serve.
